It's taken some time getting used to living in a house where he doesn't make his own rules again, not to mention just recovering from the blow of losing his home. So maybe Ezra could be forgiven for forgetting what had happened before the flood, when he'd rashly confronted Obi-Wan. So when Qui-Gon calls him, he doesn't know what to expect.
But boy, when he steps foot into that kitchen, those six and a half feet of towering Jedi grandpa have suddenly never felt quite so intimidating. Ezra hesitates at the entrance, unsure where that feeling is coming from.
"Yeah?" he asks tentatively. There's no visible clue why Qui-Gon wanted him here.
