Ren doesn't respond to the retort, his left eye merely twitching in irritation as he scowls. He has no intention of explaining himself or his feelings; all he wants is for it to be clear what needs to be done.

The only reason that he isn't more angry is that there actually was an effort to contact him and inform him what was going on. It's a definite step in the right direction, even if Kylo doesn't consider it to be enough.
