[Ezra and Han's dislike of each other just makes Leia think they're a bunch of teenage, stupid boys. And teenage only applies to one of the two.

But with only slight eye rolling--because she knows why Ezra isn't just knocking--Leia opens the door, greeting Ezra with a warm smile.]

No one snuck any of the cupcakes out of the box before you found them, did they?

[Look, at least they're not going out of their way to harass each other, right?]

Nah, I found them first. But I did share with them, though.

[And look, he's going to share with her now, too. He holds out one of the cupcakes for her to take.]

Thank you, Leia. I'd say happy birthday to you, too, in a couple of days, but it's not your birthday then, is it.

[oratorical]

[She takes the cupcake happily, but doesn't quite move to take a bite out of it yet.]

No, it's not. It was a while back.

[A few months ago, at least. Not something she wanted to make a big deal about.]

Well, happy birthday anyway. Late or early or whatever.

[It's okay with him if she doesn't want to make a big deal about it. Not like he's doing much for his own birthday.]

[But thinking on how her own birthday was different this past year compared to any year before, Leia is reminded--]

Does Kanan know today is your birthday?

[lothrat]

Yeah, I told him when I shared my cupcakes. We went out to watch the airship races together, like I did with Hera last year.

[If his voice is a little bit wistful there, well, he really misses her.]

[oratorical]

[That's a feeling she can understand all too well. Hera is a friend, and if Leia misses her, she knows it's far worse for Ezra.]

I'm glad the both of you had the chance to do something you enjoy today.

[lothrat]

Me too.

[At this rate, maybe someday he'll even like his birthday, without having to try so hard.]

And I'm glad you were here for it, too.

[He emphasizes that with a bite of his cupcake.]

[Leia smiles, before mimicking Ezra and taking a bite of her cupcake.]

I'm glad to be here for it.

[Which brings an idea to mind--]

Mine may have passed from my perspective, but why don't you, me, and Luke all do something together soon? It can be a sort of celebration for all three of us.

[lothrat]

Sure, I'd be game for that.

[They'd just have to coordinate their schedules a little. No big deal.]

While we're at it, we should find out when his birthday is, from his perspective.

[oratorical]

I'll ask him when he's home next.

[Because she knows when Luke is from, yes, but it's easier to ask him when he thinks his birthday is rather than try and do the math herself, and likely mess it up.]

With any luck, it hasn't already passed.
